what do you do when u r full of frustration? That's a question that is hard to answer, and the answer differs from one person to the next. i would like to share some stuff that i found helpful, some may be obvious some may sound weird.
1- rely on a close friend to calm u down and just help u feel better by just being there for you (thx lady Z).
2- go to sleep, take a nap. i found that sleeping helps to get ur mind of things.
3- play with ur pet if u have one, may sound weird but really helps.
4- talk to a family member, i find that very helpful.
5- if not comfortable talking to a family member or even a friend u can seek counseling.
6- go for a walk or maybe a run. i prefer late night walks, not many people are around so u can get lost in ur self.
7- i wish i can do this one but cant at the moment. take a holiday, maybe go to an island or somewhere that makes u feel comfortable and safe.
8- prayer.
9- go for a swim. i used to go for late night swim be4 when i lived of campus
10- this one is my favorite but not possible for me now. join martial arts, it really really really helps.
hope you guys find these suggestions helpful and i hope u don't get in a state where u have to consider using them.

Cupcake Kit

Yes! A cupcake kit! Hahaha I decided that I wanted to introduce some cupcakes as my new products. This is simply because of the market. Everyone is in a cupcake rave somehow. Since I haven't gotten any experience with making cupcakes (I've only made muffins before) and I certainly don't know how to decorate them, I decided to buy this cupcake kit. I'm hoping that this kit will help me get started with the basics. It comes with a recipe book, a cupcake tray and a piping bag with 5 different nozzles!
I'm gonna have to start experimenting with recipes again and decide which are the best. So wish me luck! =)
Love,
Z
An Entry from My Journal Years Ago
I thought I would write down my goals, dreams, fantasy right now.
Like everyone else I would like to be rich. I want to have at least one million. By the age of 30 I want to have $500,000 in my account. Seems impossible but I'll try my best.
I would like to have a PhD. in psychology before I turn 35 or 40. I know doing it in my 20s is impossible.
I want to be a fashion desginer. I don't have to be world known but at least in South East Asia.
I would like to know how to play one musical instrument.
Wear a tube before I turn 30.
Get married between the age 26-30. Maybe 28 is the best time.
Get a first class honours degree.
I am 20 right now. I'm gonna start Uni this year. I'll finish Uni when I'm 25. Start working at 26 years old. Have a stable job at 27 or 28 years old. Would have to pay back my student loan before getting married. If I move at this pace I will not have $500,000 when I'm 30 and I will only get married around 30ish.
Solutions?
1) Get a part time job during Uni to reduce student loan?
2) Make an investment? Risky and inexperience
16th April 2005, 2.10 a.m.
And that was an entry from my journal years ago. Although a little childish and naive and definitely embarassing hehe... I thought I'd share this. Somehow it helped me remember some of the goals that I set for myself but forgot about.
From all of these things that I've listed... I'm happy to say that I've accomplished one goal... which is getting a first class honours degree... *jump in joy*
The rest however.... hmmm...
1) Do I want $500,000 in my savings by 30? Haha I wish.. cause you see... I'm planning to do my masters too... and that means definitely no $500,00 worth in my savings hehe...
2)PhD in psychology? Yeah I'd love to... but mayyybe only if I end up being a lecturer or something and I have the finances to back me up.
3)Be a fashion designer? I still love it and I still want to... but I dun have a big dream of being well known anymore... as long as I can make outfits for myself I am very happy. And I don't know how to go about in trying to be a fashion designer yet. E.g. wut courses to take etc. etc.
4)Learn how to play one musical instrument? Why not? Hehe I just need to decide which one...
5) Wear a tube before I turn 30! Hahaha definitely! Haven't done it yet tho...
6)Getting married between 26-30? Hmmm I'm not sure if that's possible.
But then you know what? I think I WILL stick to my plans when I was 20 years old! Doesnt hurt to dream Big and honestly, I think it will actually help you get off your ass and do something about it! Chase Your Dreams!
I did not take on any of the two solutions that I listed above in order to have $500,000 or be able to get married by 30. However, I also don't have a student loan to pay off (except maybe $5000) and I graduated at the age of 24, not 25 =) And hopefully, I will get a job soon. HIRE ME! hahahaha

Eid Biscuits Baking Trials 2
Helloooooo to our handsome and beautiful readers! *wink wink* yesss... youuuu... you... the one that's reading this right noww hehehehe....
I've made three types of biscuits since last time...
First up, I've made honey cornflakes... nyum nyum ~~ Just made this like an hour ago hehehe... I still don't have a baking oven of my own so I had to use my tiny oven which you can't even adjust the temperature... So I burnt my first biscuits that I put in *lol* But after that it was fine =) I've always love these biscuits mm ~~ mm ~~
Honey Cornflakes

Second Biscuits is Pineapple Tart/ Roll. This biscuits is a must in Brunei and Malaysia during Eid. Love it! I've never tried making this biscuit before. Last time I've only watched my late mom made them. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to make the jam properly but hey! I made it!!! So happy with myself =) The problem I had was putting how much jam in the biscuits. My aunt kept on saying I put too much jam in it... But after I finished baking it... The jam was actually quite little after I've reduced it. So next time I'm gonna put more jam and I'm also going to use a mould to help me get a constant size for all the biscuits. That would also mean it's not gonna look like the picture below. The ends will not be closed like the ones in the picture.
Pineapple Tart/ Roll

Third Biscuit is Kuih Mor (I don't know if there's a translation in English for this one). I'm not really a fan of this biscuit coz you rarely find nice ones. But when you find nice oness... they are verrryyy verrrryy niceee. So being the stubborn me I wanted to try making it whilst knowing it's gonna be hard. Unfortunately, I can't find the recipe in my late mom's recipe book. Soooo... I went online to check for it. So far I've only found 2 and they're the same recipes. So I tried it out. And it turned out... errrkkk... I don't know if I cooked the flour too long or if it's the recipe that I got but it didn't turn out well... As you can see from the pic... the biscuits look brownish when it's supposed to be creamish I think. I also had problems trying to figure out if it's cooked or not coz it's still dough-ey after 20 minutes. So this means unless I can make the perfect Kuih Mor in a week, it will not be on my lists of biscuits to sell for Eid.

Eid Biscuits Baking Trials
I went to my aunt's place yesterday and I managed to bake two types of biscuits. These are trials to the biscuits that I'm gonna make/sell for eid.
First one is the Chocolate Rice Biscuits. This biscuit is super duper delicious. And I like the fact that it's soft but yet crunchy and it crumbles when you eat it. aaAaAaHhHhh ~ it's gotta be one of the greatest tasting biscuits I've ever tried (and no... it's not because I made it). The only downside to it is that it's expensive to make. I'm gonna have to try find cheaper alternatives to some of the ingredients that I've used. Otherwise I'm gonna have to put a higher than average price tag. =( and I don't want that... coz I know that some people are complaining cakes are expensive... and I don't want my customers to be burdened by buying expensive biscuits too...
Chocolate Rice Biscuit

The second biscuits I made were Crystal Balls (a.k.a. Biskut Arab in Malay). It's not as impressive as the Chocolate Rice Biscuits but it's still good! Plus, it looks very very cuteeeee. =)

the answer to boredom :-)
salam to all
I found my self quite bored as of late with nothing to do but studies. and lets face it, that can get very boooooooring :P... And so i started playing this game called "Restaurant City" on facebook. basically you get a restaurant and u get to hire ur friends as cooks, waiters and cleaner. u can hire more and more as u progress in the game. you also will be incharge of decorating the outside and the inside of ur restaurant. Also u get to make recipies, but first u need to gather the ingredeints for them. you can trade ingredients with friends, buy them or you maybe lucky enough to get what you want when you sign in as you get one ingrdient per day. i advise to save your money for ingredients and decorate later, that's sth lady Z didn't do as she went crazy with decorating :P.
anywayz, i advise whomever is bored to give that game a chance. it should be fun as it is very fun for me...

The Adventures of Unclogging a Toilet
Once upon a time, there was a lady called Z. Lady Z has always had a happy life with the bathrooms and toilets in her house. Until she decided to move to a room that was bigger… and supposedly better… To Lady Z’s demise, the toilet that came with the room was evil. After a few days of using it, the evil toilet decided to clog!
Lady Z was shocked as to how clogged it was. Never such a thing has happened to her. Never has she ever been confronted with an evil toilet. Nonetheless, she vowed not to accept defeat in the face of a challenge. So she consulted wise men called websites to find answers on ‘how to unclog a toilet’. Websites gave her a few suggestions on how to defeat this evilness.
The first suggestion was to forcefully tap the backside of the bowl with her feet. This is done within the first flush or two. This will defeat the toilet if it has committed a minor deviant act. Since the act was no minor deviance, Lady Z skipped this and went for a more forceful measure.
The second suggestion was to pour a bucket of hot tap water down the toilet. This should be poured quickly. This was done by Lady but to no avail.
Then Lady Z poured a cup of baking soda and a cup of vinegar as the wise website stated. Lady Z did this and the first time… nothing happened. Then she did it again…. It fizzes when the vinegar hits the baking soda… unfortunately for her though… that was still not enough to rid the toilet of its evilness.
The fourth suggestion was to use boiling water and dish detergent. Lady Z poured dish detergent into the bowl and left it while waiting for the water to boil. She was hoping that the detergent would lubricate the evilness away as she poured in the hot boiling water. She did this three times… but again… to no avail…
The fifth suggestion was to call fourth a plunger. Lady Z was skeptical in using the plunger because she was scared of the side effects. She thought that using a plunger would dirty the floor around the toilet. And God forbid! She even thought that evil water would splash onto her face! She was scared to ask for a plunger’s help. But a wise man called youtube persuaded her that there is no harm at all. So she calls fourth a plunger called ‘Drain Buster’. Drain Buster was a good looking fellow. Although honestly, Lady Z just happened to choose him not because of his looks, but because the ordinary looking plungers were not available. Lady Z prayed that this would work because if it doesn’t, the next suggestion was to use rubber gloves and go through the muddy water filled with evil creatures in order to extract the core of evilness. The next suggestion was to tame a ‘snake’ to push away the evil core. And that was no option because snakes are hard to come by in the lands where Lady Z lived.
So Lady Z prepared herself to battle the toilet with the help of Drain Buster. She put on her face protector (3 pieces of facemasks) and her protective gloves. Drain Buster’s lip was taken out to prepare for battle as it provides better suction. Right before the battle begins, Lady Z said to Drain Buster, ‘I hope we will win this without any bloodshed.’ Then Drain Buster slowly and valiantly crossed the muddy water of evilness… then as instructed by Drain Buster, Lady Z pulled his hand to activate the extraction of the evil core. She pulled his hand twice… The extraction mechanism doesn’t seem to have activated. Drain buster had to go deeper and pushed against the evil toilet’s wall harder. When this was done, Lady Z pulled his hand and the mechanism activated and she could feel the evil core being driven away. She pulled his hand two or three times more and all the evil water drained away. The battle was won and Lady Z had Drain Buster to thank for. Drain Buster was given the pleasure of being disinfected and dried afterwards. She is forever grateful to Drain Buster and he will always have a place in her toilet where he belongs and live happily ever after.

66 cases of Influenza A Virus (H1N1) in Brunei Darussalam
There are 66 cases of H1N1 in Brunei already!!! I find that to be a big number for such a small country. Although the ministry of health told the public not to panic that doesn't mean we don't have to take it seriously. I hope that we can all take preventative measures.
Just yesterday I saw some pictures of students who were 'quarantined' going out and not wearing their masks. And I was like... WTH???? For those who are quarantined or have a family member who is quarantined, please be responsible. Parents please make sure that your children do not go around doing things that may be spreading the virus.
I would also like to make a statement here, since the pictures I saw were couples, please do not do anything that may transmit the virus to your gf/bf/husband/wife. Even though you might not have the symptoms, please wait till the quarantine is over. You might be transmitting it to your loved ones without even knowing it. If you are kissing your partner, that is NOT LOVE, that is LUST. When you love someone you make sure that they are at the best of health, not go on infecting them.
WHO reported a total of 77,201 infected cases in the world with 332 fatalities.

Dirty Dancing
Dirty Dancing... Saw this movie when I was in primary school. Don't remember much about it except for the part where the girl tries to learn to balance when being raised up when dancing. And I remembered the girl's name was Baby hehe but that's about it. Several couples have actually tried to do the movie's dance routine for their wedding. It's famous for the part where the guy lifts the girl up... (Click on the link below to see it). A lot of people find Patrick Swayze hot.. some says he has a nice ass... heeehee... I'd have to see the movie again to know whether that's true or not... hehehe... Unfortunately... Swayze has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which later metastasised to his liver. It is sad how cancer can rob people of their health and functioning....
From being the healthy and hot Swayze...

He has lost a lot of weight due to the illness

Swayze is still fighting against the cancer. He appeared on a charitable program called 'Stand Up To Cancer' and said, "I dream that the word 'cure' will no longer be followed by the words 'it's impossible'. Together, we can make a world where cancer no longer means living with fear, without hope, or worse"
For someone like myself, who has lost a dear one to cancer... a cure for cancer will be a miracle indeed...

Upin & Ipin
I just realised that the video from the previous post didn't have English subtitles... I can't seem to find the same video on youtube that has subtitles. However, I did find subtitled videos for the second season (on youtube). If you buy the DVD, there would definitely have subtitles. (I think I'm using the words subtitles too much hahaha)
An episode from Season 2 of Upin & Ipin
An episode from Season 2 of Upin & Ipin
Upin & Ipin

I've never watched Malay cartoons before coz I find most of them to be lame and dull. However, I like 'Upin dan Ipin'very much! Hehehe...
Upin & Ipin is about two five year old twins. This cartoon tries to instill religious and moral values into children. Apart from that, it's very funny and most people can relate to it. Plus, it has english subtitles! The only boring thing about it is that each episode lasts maybe 7-10 minutes? And that's just a lil too short coz I can't get enough of it =).
This is one of the episodes... Watch it to the end! =)

Brownie-licious nyum!
Hello there! =) *mwah*
I've just came back from Kuala Belait, which is 1-2hrs drive away from my home... I went down last night, arrived there at around 10ish p.m. I think. My sis and I were verrrrryyyy bored so we decided to go to KB right after the sun has set. After having to drive to and fro, I've developed a dislike of driving at night where there are no street lights or where there are no lights at all! But what I hate the most is when it's raining and the lights from the incoming car makes it much more harder to see as the water on the windshield reflects light on my eyes.
One of the reasons that I wanted to go to KB is for the oven (we don't have our own at the moment). I've been browsing through dessert pictures and started to crave for some browniess... So I went online and got a recipe for brownies.
This was my first time to make brownies from scratch. I've made brownies before but from those instant mix box. The batch from the recipe was actually quite small. My sister and cousin-in-law actually finished half of it while I was asleep while waiting for it to cool down. The brownies were awesome!! It was crunchy at top and fudgety at the bottom and I was like um-um! hehehe.. (Altho... It was probably more like chocolate cake than Brownie hehe..) My sister asked me to make another batch. And I did. But this one didn't turn out as good. It was much less crunchy and less fudgety. I wonder what happen? If anyone has any tips on making Brownies please lemme know =)
These was from the second batch that I made

Since Sir A likes this car so much... I thought I'd put some videos on it. If you're like me - who doesn't know much about the specs of this car... These videos may help you see the 'awesomeness' of it...
A day in Z's life
I haven't slept yet... hah hah hah (zombie-like-speech). I haven't been able to sleep early nowadays, but today's the worst. I have not slept at all... and it's 9am hah hah hah... Help meeeee... AAaAaaAAaAaa... Not having anything to do is getting to me I guess...
I was done with Uni since uuuhh April? Got my results last month... And waiting for convocation in October. October!!! AAaaaAaarrggghhh it's such a long way to go... And I haven't even gotten my final transcript yet... Maybe I should try take some short courses in the meantime... like makeup! or baking! or sewing! or or or... just anything to help me feel more productive and beeeee productive... All I'm doing nowadays is sleep, wake up, cook for the family (which I'm getting bored of), clean the house, go online, watch anime then sleep again (mostly around subuh/fajr prayers)
I realised that just being a permanent resident and not a citizen is gonna be a little bit more harder to get a job in Brunei... maybe I'll just go back to KL? But I don't have a place to stay... hmmm... Oh well... I'll endure it for the time being...
la la la ~~~ du du du ~~~ I love everyone ~~~ Well... 'Mostly' everyone ~~~ Hee ~~

Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque

Assalamu'alaikum =)
Few nights ago I was you tube-ing and I clicked to listen to a song by Outlandish. The video (that I'm guessing was made by a fan) was of beautiful mosques in the world. And the first picture that came out was this! And I just fell in love with it!
Honestly, I've been living in Brunei since I was born and I've never actually 'look' at this mosque properly. I knew it was one of the famous mosque in Brunei but ... well lets just say I never bothered about it.
Every time I'm in Brunei, I always pass this mosque whenever I pick my brother up. But this is the first time I actually fell in love with it. I don't know if it's just the picture (note: I do not know the source of this picture) but when I 'do' look at it in real life... It is simply beautiful... It's simple.. but yet elegant..
This mosque was built by the former Sultan, Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien. Hence, the name. It was built in 1958 and celebrated its Golden Jubilee last year, 2008. It is located in the capital city, Bandar Seri Begawan. It is said to be an impressive Islamic architecture. From the information that I found, the mosque was designed by an Italian architect, Cavalieri R Nolli and the interiors by the Sultan. The marble floors and walls are from Italy, granite from Shanghai and chandeliers from England. The mosque cost around $9 million to build. As you can see from the picture, the golden boat-like structure in front of the mosque is a stone replica of a 16th century ship.
If you wanna see more pictures, there are a number of photo blogs that have pictures of this mosque. One of them is this http://www.molon.de/galleries/Brunei/OmarAli/
First post from A
Hello to all.
As the lovely and beautiful Lady.Z said, we decided to start a blog (and no she didn't force me =p).
again, this blog is not about anything specific, we just post what we want =D. For my first post i decided to share with you guys my favorite car. i am sure that most of you out there also favor this car. Yes, I'm talking about the new nissan skyline GT-R. it is without a doubt the most beautiful and powerful tuner cars out there...... personally, i prefer the old body but the new engine. i have a few pics of the old and new skyline and i hope u enjoy them and there will be more to come =D.

An Introduction from Z
Hello!!
Sir A and me decided to start a blog. Well... it's more like i forced him to blog =p hehehe... We came up with the name 'A and Z' since A and Z are our initials. This is not gonna be a blog where we concentrate on one specific area (like a food blog, photography blog or fashion blog etc etc.) It's just a space where we share things that we want to...
Since A is a guy and I'm a girl... I'm guessing we might have different types of things to post. I'd probably be posting girly stuffs so I hope the male readers wouldn't mind since it might not be interesting (or would it? hehe) I don't know what he'll be posting but yeahh... =)
Lotsa Love ~
